The Circuit Rider Program is funded until 9/30/01. I need evryone to phone E)EA, Secretary Bob Durands office as well as Sharon McGregor to urge that the program be continued with funding after that date. Please feel free to use the follow quote in my letter to Secretary Durand: Dear Secretary Durand,
What a pleasure to have met you at Essex County Greenbelt’s 40th anniversary celebration on Saturday. This is a follow-up to our discussion concerning funding for the DEP Wetland Circuit Rider Program, which as you know is close to being eliminated due to a lack of support by the Legislature.
You can’t imagine my surprise and appreciation when you said at the end of our conversation, “Don’t worry, I will find the funds for the program.”
