What is Conservation Connections?

Conservation Connections is a tool for Conservation Commissioners and staff to benefit from the experience, expertise and wisdom of your colleagues.  MACC believes that there is a great untapped resource in the help and support you can offer one another.  We invite you to participate in the discussion!

The scope of this forum is every aspect of the work Commissions do: open space, wetlands and water resources, native plants and animals, Commission operations etc.  You might, for example, ask how other towns approach projects like trail building, signage or overnight camping on conservation land. You might seek comments on the success of special conditions like "no salt shall be used on the road".

The forum is designed primarily to allow you to seek advice from and share your knowledge with each other.  MACC Board members and staff will, however, participate in the discussion and try to answer questions as often as possible.

Do:

  • Ask questions.
  • Share your experience and expertise.
  • Seek information or advice.
  • Connect with your community!

Restrictions:

  • no SPAM
(unsolicited advertising or same message on multiple boards.)
  • no "Trolls"
(people who only post unconstructive comments)
  • off topic discussion threads
(Please help to maintain our professional atmosphere.)

MACC does not verify posted information or necessarily agree with opinions
expressed in Conservation Connections.
